Shelley Nordman

Shelley Nordman, a Southern California native, has called Dana Point home for the past 27 years. Her journey into the world of art began after a fulfilling career in Orthodontics, where she honed her precision and attention to detail. As a mother of three, Shelley embraced the role of homeschool educator, guiding her children through high school while fostering their love for technology and engineering. This passion led to the founding of a competitive high school robotics team, where Shelley became proficient in 3D printing, CNC routing, laser cutting, and digital design—skills she now brings into her artistic practice.

Following her youngest child’s graduation, Shelley set up her jewelry studio, where she fully immersed herself in the creative process. Her work is a playful exploration of materials and techniques, often posing the question, “What would happen if…?” Shelley’s current designs are distinguished by their use of multi chrome flakes and powders, meticulously layered in resin to create vibrant, ever-changing spectrums of color in each piece of wearable art. Through her whimsical creations, Shelley seeks to amuse and delight, offering pieces that capture the joy of discovery.
