Wizz Stearne
Wizz has always been creative. Academically, she was top of her class, but it was art that fed her imagination. She achieved a BTEC in 3-Dimesnional Design from University College of Creative Arts, followed by a 3-Dimensional Design degree from University of Portsmouth.
It was in 2017 that Wizz discovered Silver Clay attending a one-day workshop. She quickly got to grips with the material and began creating. In 2019 she took her Art Clay World Diploma Level 1, followed by Level 2, a year later. She now holds a Higher Diploma and a PMC qualification. She creates and teaches from her bespoke teaching space in the Cotswolds. Wizz loves to watch students’ pieces develop, as they themselves develop skills and confidence with the magic of Silver Clay.
Wizz loves all things mechanical, and owns two steam engines. Her Silver Clay designs are inspired by retro designs from Nouveau to the 1950’s, with a contemporary twist. She is also an accomplished fairground artist and gilder, having spent 6 years living with a traveling fairground.
