Pavla Čepelíková

After almost 14 years of working with beloved fun polymer clay,  I can only say that my artwork is very colorful. I use plenty of shades, sometimes bright and sometimes subdued, but always a lot of them. I love to play with colors; I am focused on them. Regarding techniques, I experimented a lot with inks, paints, mica powders, and micro mosaic art at the beginning. In the last couple of years, I have gone back to simple cane work and clay-only techniques, and sometimes, I combine them with other media if they express my ideas better.

I often create small pictures to wear—brooches inspired by flowers, animals, ancient art, and sometimes comics. I like the story behind them.

Very recently, I started making wall art pieces, which are particularly challenging. I am often used to making simple sketches with notes, but the result is usually driven more by clay than by my sketches. I share a lot of my ideas in workshops and tutorials.

I love teaching and meeting the same crazy, creative people as I am.
