I was born and raised on Long Island, NY. I’m the third of four children, and I became the artist of the family. My first love was recycling things, which included using an empty cookie tin as a swimming pool for my Barbie dolls. I also used lace doilies as dresses for my dolls, and was always creating things. My poor parents never knew what would go missing because I was making something new out of whatever I could find.

I attended FIT, Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, and majored in Visual Merchandising. This was a great outlet for my love of organizing. Then, I went to work in my father’s candy and snack food business, eventually taking over the day-to-day running of the company.

In 2010 my husband, daughter, and I started a new chapter of our lives and moved to Roswell, GA. It was here that I found the freedom to explore my passion for art. After taking many different classes, I fell in love with metal clay. Taking classes from world-renowned artists, I soon found myself Level One Certified in this medium. Then, the opportunity to become Senior Certified presented itself, and I jumped at the chance. As they say, the rest is history. You can now find me teaching this wonderful art form at Spruill Center for the Arts in GA, as well as live classes on Craftcast teaching together with my BFF, Janell Stephen.

  • Your classes are just amazing and I have learned sooo much from Cindy Pope’s classes on the Silhouette machines. She breaks it down so any beginner can learn. I didn’t take my Curio out of the box for a year until I watched her class. Now I’m addicted
