That “how did they DO that?” reaction you get looking at handmade jewelry? That’s not a gift. It’s a specific technique, a way of conditioning clays so it fires correctly, or a firing schedule that’s been proven to work, or a pour method that keeps bubbles out. Someone learned it, step by step. Their hands just know what to do now.

Most people who “fail” at a craft didn’t lack ability, they got stuck at one moment (one cut, one setting, one pour) with no one there to say here’s exactly what to do next. So they stopped, and called it no talent. It wasn’t. It was a gap in instruction.
